4 x 4 Challenge Sunday 2nd July

The 4 Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa will be hosting a 4×4 challenge, right here on the south coast on Sunday the 2nd July. Action starts at 9h30 and runs until around 16h00, all depending on entry numbers and how things run during the course of the day. A challenge is a series of 10 different obstacles that the 4×4 driver has to negotiate his or her 4×4 through, picking up the lowest amount of penalties along the way. Penalties or given for rolling backwards, reversing, abandoning the obstacle, touching the banners or outside assistance.
The course will cater for mostly for standard type production vehicles where it’s the driver and his vehicle up against the opposition and of course a very technical obstacle course. All vehicles will have to pass Scrutineering before commencing with the competition, and vehicles will be scrutinized according to a handicap system whereby points are deducted according to modifications such as suspension or bumper replacement bars etc.

It promises to be a great day of 4x4ing with lots of action for the spectators. Coldrinks and hotdogs will be on sale.
