The Chairman’s Cab – August 2017
As the cycle of the year starts to roll over, as a committee we are already thinking of next year! That process begins in earnest at the October Noggins when we have our Annual General Meeting. Please can you now start thinking of what you would like the club to achieve in 2018, and how you can be part of that process. As mentioned previously Kevin and Jennifer will not be available for the committee for next year, so we please need you to think about joining the committee and also with the popularity of the Sunday drives and long weekend outings, it may be worth having extra hands and minds involved in this important area of the club. The official notice of the AGM and the agenda will be published in the September Traction.
Another topic that will be on the agenda for the AGM is to discuss the future of the Traction magazine in it’s current form. There is a lot of work that is duplicated to prepare the information for the Traction and then to edit the same information to a format that is compatible to the website. Please can you give this some thought and if you have any thoughts or ideas, please e-mail to the committee or to Jenny at email@example.com
Recovery equipment is an integral part of owning a 4×4 and at the last committee meeting we made a list of the essential equipment you should put on your Christmas shopping / gift list. At the year end function (1st to 3rd December at Killarney) we plan to do some practical demonstrations of the different recovery techniques, so get your equipment and come and see how it works.
Noggins is at the same place this month, please see the articles in the Traction for more details.
Keep up to date with the club activities by reading the Traction, going to our website www.4wdkzn.co.za and also checking out the Facebook page and WhatsApp groups.
