Toti Waterfall – First Outing of 2016
Please diarise the 31 January 2016 for this month’s outing to the ‘Toti’ waterfall. … we meet in the carpark of Seadoone Checkers and then proceed in a easterly direction. Once clear of the local suburbs we branch onto the route and experience the peaceful and tranquility of the bush as we wind our way alongside the river. The route takes us across the Nungwane river numerous times where one catches glimpses’ of the water. As is normal it is a 4×4 route and things always change in the bush as we all know. A few ‘play areas’ are encountered for those a little more adventuress. The Nungwane river flows into the Lovu (Illovo to some) river.
It is planned to have a stop and quick brunch braai after which we convoy to the top of the falls for the view hoping that water levels are good can be a magnificent site. It is planned to provide one or two large braais with hot coals for all to share thereby reducing the fire risk to a minimum in the dry surrounding veld.
